Poo Squad Wichita brings its dog poop scooper service to Haysville, KS. Your local Poo Squad crew is based in the Wichita area and heads south to scoop Haysville yards on a weekly, every other week or monthly plan. We're locally owned by Tony Miller, and dog poop removal is the whole job.
You know the drill. You step out back, you scan the grass, you plot a careful route to the grill. Nobody got a dog to play hopscotch with landmines. We'll take the scooping. You take the yard back.
Why Haysville Yards Need a Dog Poop Scooper Service
Haysville sits just south of Wichita in Sedgwick County. The city counted about 11,262 people in 2020, and plenty of them share a fence line with somebody's dog. Plenty of homes here are ranch styles with brick fronts and roomy lawns. Great for fetch. Also great for hiding piles in the tall spots.
Big yards are sneaky like that. You think you got everything. Then the mower finds the one you missed. A residential pooper scooper service fixes that on a set rhythm, so the yard never gets to the "we need a shovel" stage.

Where Haysville Dogs Run, Sniff and Play
For off-leash fun, the go-to spot is the Haysville Dog Park at Randal L. Dorner Park, out at 400 W. 79th Street South. The city split it into two fenced areas. Small dogs under 45 pounds get a 1.3 acre side. Dogs of every size share a 1.6 acre side. You also get paved parking, shaded seating, a hike and bike path and restrooms open year round.
Riggs Park on Sarah Lane is the other big one. It has a lake with an ADA dock, a 9 hole disc golf course, picnic shelters, playgrounds and a hike and bike path. Leashed dogs and long walks go together there.
The city keeps up a whole list of smaller spots too. Country Lakes Park, Kirby Park, Old Oak Park, Pear Tree Park, Whisler Park and W.W. Hays Historic Park all sit on the Haysville parks list. Different corners of town, same idea. Your dog sniffs, your dog does its business, and you bring a bag.
Haysville's Poop Rules, in Plain English
Haysville spells this out in Chapter 2 of its city code. Here's the short version.
- Pick it up off other people's property. Section 2-204 says if your dog poops on property you don't own, you have to promptly remove it and dispose of it. That includes the common areas at condos, townhouses and apartments.
- Your own yard counts too, in its own way. The code's definition of a nuisance animal covers keeping an animal in an unsanitary condition that's offensive to sight or smell. It also covers a dog that repeatedly poops in public places or on other people's property when nobody cleans it up.
- No running at large. The Haysville Animal Control page says dogs can't run loose in town. At Dorner Park, dogs stay leashed unless they're inside the fenced dog park.
- Register your dog. Section 2-201 requires annual city registration for dogs 6 months and older, within 30 days of getting the dog or moving it into town.
- Four pets, tops. The city doesn't allow more than 4 pets in any combination.
Translation: a clean yard keeps you on the right side of your neighbors and the code. Want the bigger picture? Read our guide on fines for not picking up dog poop.
Fall Festival Weekend and Other Haysville Pet Notes
The Haysville Fall Festival usually lands on the third full weekend in October at Riggs Park. Think a carnival, a car show, an arts and craft show, food trucks, concerts and pumpkin decorating. It's free, and it brings a lot of feet through town. If you live nearby, that's a good weekend to have your own grass looking sharp for visiting family.
A few more local things every Haysville dog owner should know:
- The Haysville Animal Control Officer normally works 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. After hours, for loose or aggressive dogs, bites or nonstop barking, the city says to call 911.
- Animal control holds found dogs for 3 business days. If nobody claims a dog by then, it goes to the Wichita Animal Shelter. So keep those tags current.
- Haysville's solid waste code says to keep dogs away from the trash collector. So on trash day, your dog stays inside while the truck rolls by. Our guide on how to dispose of dog poop covers the rest.
What Dog Poop Pickup Costs in Haysville
Straight numbers. No guessing.
- Weekly, 1 dog: $13 per visit, about $56.33 per month
- Weekly, 2 dogs: $15 per visit, about $65 per month
- Bi-weekly, 1 dog: $51 per month
- Bi-weekly, 2 dogs: $57.50 per month
- Monthly, 1 dog: $45 per month

Monthly is a nice reset if you keep up with it yourself in between. Curious how these numbers compare? Check our breakdown of what pooper scooper service costs.
Did the yard get away from you over a long stretch? It happens to the best of us. Start with a one-time dog poop cleanup, then keep it clean with a regular plan.
Why Skipping the Scoop Catches Up With Haysville Yards
Dog poop isn't fertilizer. It sits there, it smells, and it draws flies. It also carries bacteria you don't want tracked into the house on little shoes or big paws. Our guide on whether dog poop is good for grass explains why those brown patches show up.
Then there's the time. Scooping a big Haysville backyard isn't a two minute job. It's bending, bagging and that one pile you always step on anyway. We know dog poop. Unfortunately. So you don't have to.
