You know the drill. The dog gets the backyard. You get the landmines. Let's fix that.

Bee Cave Yards Are Newer, Fenced and Full of Dogs

Bee Cave is a young town, at least on paper. The city's comprehensive plan says nearly 80% of homes here were built since 2000. Most of them come with a fenced back yard. Great for your dog. Less great for you, because everything your dog leaves stays right there inside the fence.

Many Bee Cave subdivisions are run by their own HOAs, too. A yard that smells or draws flies can turn into a polite letter from the board. Or a less polite one. Our guide to HOA dog rules covers what boards usually care about.

From Falconhead to Ladera, We Know the Neighborhoods

The City of Bee Cave lists these neighborhoods inside city limits:

  • Falconhead and Falconhead West
  • The Grove
  • Homestead
  • Ladera
  • Meadow Fox
  • The Uplands
  • Wildwood in Bee Cave
  • Bee Cave West

Lake Pointe and Spanish Oaks sit just outside city limits, and the city's list includes them too. You can see the full list, with HOA contacts, on the City of Bee Cave neighborhoods page. Whichever street you're on, your yard gets the same treatment from our dog poop removal service: every pile found, bagged and gone.

Bee Cave Central Park and Its Dog Park

Ask any Bee Cave dog where the fun is. They'll point you to Bee Cave Central Park, just off Ranch Road 620 and Bee Cave Parkway. The park has nearly two miles of paved trail. A big culvert connects the main park to the fenced dog park, so your pup can walk right through.

The dog park opened in 2015. It has become a daily stop for dogs from Bee Cave, Lakeway, Spicewood and beyond. There are separate areas for small and large dogs, plus a pond, benches, drinking water and shade trees.

So your dog comes home tired and happy. Then finishes the job in your yard. That part is ours.

Bee Cave's Rules for Dogs, in Plain English

Bee Cave spells out its park rules in Article 16.04 of the city code, Use of City Parks and Park Facilities. Here's the short version:

  • Keep your dog on a leash anywhere in a city park. The one exception is inside the designated dog park.
  • Pick up your dog's poop and toss it in a proper waste container. That goes for the trails and the dog park.
  • Bring no more than two dogs into the dog park at one time.
  • Stay with your dog. Unattended dogs aren't allowed in the dog park.
  • Leave a female dog in season at home. Keep big dogs out of the small dog area, and small dogs out of the big one.

Your own yard counts too. The city's nuisance rules (Article 14.02) list piled up animal waste as a public nuisance unless it's sealed in a closed container. So that pile behind the shed? The city technically cares about it.

Dealing with a stray or a problem dog? The city points residents to Travis County Animal Control at (512) 972-6060 on its area service providers page.

Bee Cave Pet Spots Worth Knowing

A few places local dog people end up sooner or later:

  • New Hope Animal Rescue's Bee Cave Adoption Center at PetSmart on Shops Parkway. Your next best friend might be waiting a few minutes from home.
  • Hill Country Galleria, which welcomes dogs. Handy when you want a walk with a little window shopping.
  • Hamilton Pool Preserve, nearby and gorgeous. But pets aren't allowed anywhere in the preserve, not even in the car. Leave the pup home for that one.

Just adopted? Congrats. Your yard is about to get a lot busier.

Texas Heat Makes a Bee Cave Yard Ripen Fast

Central Texas summers are hot. Hot poop smells worse. It also pulls in flies like a dinner bell. And a big summer storm won't save you: rain doesn't wash dog poop away. It just leaves the problem soggy.

Regular scooping keeps it from piling up. If the smell lingers where your dog likes to go, add yard deodorizing. Your patio will thank you. So will your guests.

Cleanups, HOA Common Areas and Bee Cave Events

Not ready for a schedule? Start with a one time cleanup. It's perfect when you've just moved into a new Bee Cave home, before a backyard party, or after a few weeks of "I'll get to it."

HOAs and apartment communities have dogs too, and those common areas get used hard. Our commercial pet waste removal keeps shared lawns and walking paths clean. Hosting a dog friendly gathering? Our event pooper scooper services handle the cleanup so you can enjoy the party.
